Adventure Park recognised the need to improve the comfort and convenience of their kiosk area for patrons waiting in line. To address this, a custom Triax waterproof structure was designed and installed, offering practical benefits while seamlessly blending with the existing architecture.
The Triax structure spans approximately 19 metres by 3 metres, providing comprehensive coverage for the kiosk area. The design follows the curve of the existing building, ensuring a harmonious integration with the park’s aesthetic. This structure not only shelters patrons from the elements but also addresses the issue of heat affecting the kiosk’s roller doors, thereby helping to maintain a cooler internal temperature for the fridges and freezers.
The chosen fabric, Soltis Proof 502 PVC in the vibrant colour Buttercup, offers excellent waterproof properties and durability. This material ensures that patrons are protected from rain and harsh sunlight, enhancing their overall experience while waiting at the kiosk. The supporting steelwork was hot dip galvanised and powder coated, providing a durable and visually appealing finish that complements the existing building.
The design of the Triax structure had to meet two critical requirements: complete coverage from the elements for patrons and heat mitigation for the kiosk’s roller doors. The structure’s curved design was engineered to follow the building’s contours, ensuring effective protection and aesthetic cohesion.
The project team faced the challenge of attaching the structure to the existing building without causing any disruption or damage. Through careful planning and precise execution, the team successfully integrated the structure, ensuring it met all functional and visual requirements.
The use of hot dip galvanised and powder-coated steelwork provided both structural integrity and a polished finish, ensuring the Triax structure was durable and visually appealing.
The installation process required precise alignment with the existing building to maintain the curve and ensure seamless integration. The project team’s expertise ensured that the structure was securely attached and met all safety and quality standards.
Completed in July 2022, the Triax structure at Adventure Park has significantly enhanced the kiosk area. Patrons now enjoy complete protection from the elements while waiting in line, and the structure’s design helps maintain a cooler temperature inside the kiosk by mitigating heat on the roller doors.
Adventure Park expressed high satisfaction with the project, noting the improved comfort for visitors and the operational benefits for the kiosk. The structure has become a valuable addition to the park, enhancing the overall visitor experience and operational efficiency.
The Triax structure at Adventure Park is a prime example of how functional design can improve commercial spaces. By addressing both practical needs and aesthetic considerations, the project has delivered a high-quality, functional, and visually appealing structure that enhances the park’s facilities. This project underscores the importance of innovative design and careful execution in creating lasting improvements to commercial environments.
